Files management

The Files tab displays all project files, with information about them:

  • Image;

  • File name;

  • Segment;

  • Creation date - the date of creation (upload) of the file is displayed;

  • Status - the current status of the file is shown (being annotated, being verified, deferred, verified or rejected);

  • Objects - number of annotated objects in the file;

  • Comments - the number of comments present in the file;

  • Annotation Date - the date on which the file was annotated;

  • Annotator Name - the name of the worker who annotated the file;

  • Verification Date - the date on which the file was verified;

  • Verifier Name - the name of the worker who verified the file.

In the file line area, you can right-click to open a menu with various actions that can be applied to the file. These actions include:

  • Preview: opens the file preview window

  • Open: opens the file in the editor

  • Open in new tab: opens the file in the editor in a new browser tab

  • Status change history: opens a window with information about all changes in the file status (including date, user name and status) and annotation changes (including date and user name)

  • Annotation change history: opens a window with information about all changes of file status (including date, user name and status) and annotation changes (including date and user name)

  • Change Status: opens a list of statuses that can be assigned to the file (Being annotated, Being verified, Clarified, Verified and Rejected)

  • Assign annotator (when the file is in the "Being annotated" status): allows you to assign the file for annotation to a specific user of the project

  • Assign a verifier (when the file is in the "Being verified" status): allows you to assign a file for verification to a specific project user

  • Change due date: allows you to change the due date for execution

  • Reset annotation data: opens the "Reset file annotation data" window with a choice of reset modes, including "Return files to verification" and "Return files to annotation".

If you click on Preview in the header of the Files table, a list of actions will appear. From there, you can assign one or multiple files to an operator at once.

If you want to add new material to a project using a CSV file, follow these steps:

  1. Start by cloning an existing project. This is important because it will keep the settings in place.

  2. Make sure you keep the project URL unchanged.

  3. Once you have cloned the project, go to the "Files" tab and click on the "Add files" button.

  4. In the window that appears, click on the "Upload CSV" button.

  5. A pop-up window will appear. Select the CSV file you wish to upload and click "Open".

  6. All the necessary columns will be automatically filled in. The only thing you need to do is click on the "Create" button.

  7. Once you have done this, the files will be ready for annotation and will be added to the project.

At the bottom of the Files tab, you will find the Export to CSV button, which allows you to download the information you have selected on the page. The page also displays the number of files currently displayed, the refresh button, and the page transition buttons.

Exporting files to CSV enables you to open them in a table later.

You can select the required number of rows displayed on the page by using the Select rows option. The minimum value is 25 rows, while the maximum value is 1000 rows.
